Panch Pokhari Treks

Panch Pokhari Trekking in NepalThe off the beaten trail to Panch Pokhari Trek, literary means five ponds and derived from the Nepali word “Panch Pokhari” is situated just northeast of Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the exotic and ecological trekking trails in the Rolwaling Trekking region which offers pristine and distinct cultural and natural diversity, spectacular Himalayan view, wildlife such as red panda, monkeys on the trail, beautiful sunsets, lakes and stunning views of glacial mountains, dense rhododendron forests. This trek provides you the excellent views of eastern Himalayan chain known as Jugal Himal, Gauri Shanker, Dojre Lakpa, Langtang and Rolwaling. During the trek, you will have an opportunity to explore the life styles, cultures and socio economic status of the local people and villages. The trek passes through beautiful Oak and Rhododendron forest, meadows and the villages of different ethnic people. This wilderness trek takes us on the less travelled route where we can visit Buddhist monasteries passing through Tamang and Sherpa villages to reach the sacred site of the five glacial lakes (Panch Pokhari); a seldom visited pilgrimage site where the Janaipurnima festival is held in August each year, and many Hindu pilgrimages visit the site to pay homage.
